Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the use of the Andescalada mobile application, owned by Fundación Andescalada, RUT 65.204.425-5.

I. What type of information do we collect?

Below we list the details of the information we collect and store through the Andescalada mobile application:

Personal information that you provide us: Your telephone number is the only data that we will ask you for, since it will be your identifier in the mobile application. In addition, you can optionally update your name, profile picture, location and biography.

Coalitions information: Coalitions to which you belong and initiatives to which you join.

Information on climbing areas and routes: recently downloaded and viewed climbing areas, saved routes, marked as done and evaluation of these. We will also collect information from routes you have outfitted or contributed to, either by uploading it to the app or by updating information about it and its status.

Search information: Last searches made in the mobile application, whether they are zones, walls, routes, coalitions or initiatives.

Current location: Location from where you access the mobile application. Location-related information may be based on factors such as the exact location of the device (if you have allowed us to collect this information).

Device information: Attributes of the mobile device you use, such as operating system, hardware and software versions.

II. How do we use this information?

We use the information you have provided to us to improve your experience in the application. For example, information related to the location or the climbing routes taken allows us to personalize the use in the mobile application, in order to make it more relevant to you. Your phone number information is only used to validate your authenticity and for eventual communication with you. The other data of your profile that is public is only shown in that section and the ones that are private are saved so that you can keep track of, for example, which routes you have climbed, equipped, collaborated or saved.

Product research and development:

We use the information we have to develop, test and improve the Andescalada Foundation mobile application or initiatives.

We offer measurement, analysis and other commercial services:

We use the information we have to help business partners measure the effectiveness and distribution of ads, such as recommended products, as well as understand what types of people use their services and how they interact with the mobile application.
